Binombuhan Falls

Binombuhan Falls

Have fun under the new normal! For sure, the Covid-induced lockdowns which have stretched for two years now have made everyone itch to go and enjoy the outdoors once again.

Embrace nature’s therapy in barangay Caraycaray, San Miguel where the Binombuhan falls has become a favorite spot for family and friends. The clear, refreshing water from the falls and the awesome rock formations will surely win everyone’s hearts.

What’s more, the two-kilometer walk will give you the exercise you need after all that hibernating because of the stay-home orders. The hike to the falls will bring you through awesome views of green hills, cattle grazing on the grass, and other wonderful things that only the open air-wide space rural scene can offer.

Caraycaray is some 6.5 kilometers from the town proper of San Miguel, while San Miguel is some 40 kilometers from Tacloban City.

The Municipal Government has developed the site so people will have picnic huts for the convenience of visitors.

The place reopened to the public last January 3, 2021. Entrance fee of P20 for adults and P10 for 15-year-olds and below is collected to fund the maintenance of the area.  Cottage rental fee is P300 per day.
